Honouring Boundaries

An excerpt from the book, ‘Navigation,’ by Scott Robinson

It is said the pillars of the temple must stand apart in order to be strong. If there is only one pillar because two have merged, the structure will topple.

When two people are fully a couple, and honour each other’s path with no loss of personal space, the relationship is solid. It is based on individual spiritual autonomy and respect. This can happen in any kind of relationship, intimate or not.

To own your space in relationships, you need to see the other person clearly. You need to view the full picture, including their strengths and weaknesses, with neutrality, not judging them.
